Open your project

Open PowerShell, Command Prompt (CMD), or Terminal in the folder you want Claude Code to understand.

Start Claude Code

From inside that folder, run:

Launches Claude Code with your project as its context.

Check the active connection

At the Claude Code prompt, run /status. Confirm the provider or API base URL is https://startupapi.io. Do not use a normal model reply as proof of routing.

Ask clearly

Have Claude Code understand your project before it changes anything.

Review this project and explain what it does.

Switch models during daily use

Run /model to open Claude Code’s normal picker. If a StartupAPI model is missing from that list, check the current Models documentation and enter the full identifier manually.
